Marine environment applications

The low spatial coverage of the ORFEO sensors limit their possibility of use over all the open ocean. On the other hand, ORFEO data can be useful to characterize special phenomena or particular targets, such as ocean surface pollution (from multiple optic or radar viewing), ships recognition, properties and behaviour of coastline, specially when artificial constructions exist (in complement of the mapping of the terrestrial part).
